Nettles, Rosemary, and Thyme

Have you nibbled on rosemary flowers and enjoyed the flavor? Do you like thyme? How about nettles? Instead of going to the grocery store, what do you like to eat from garden foraging?

Using snips or scissors and wearing gloves (unless you enjoy nettle stings), harvest a basketful to enjoy steamed or braised nettles with olive oil and salt, rosemary flowers and thyme leaves sprinkled on top!

The young leaves of spring nettles are so tender. The stalks can be chewy. Harvesting mainly the leaves while leaving growth nodes on the stalks will enable more nettle leaves to regrow for future harvests, and the health of the plants.
